About the centre
Marshlands Children’s Centre is based in Old Goole, serving rural Goole and wider villages in partnership with our other Children’s Centres, Kingsway and Howden. The friendly, passionate and knowledgeable staff team work alongside colleagues from Midwifery and Health Visiting to provide a range of activities and services for children and their parents or carers, grandparents or childminders from pregnancy to age 9.We have recently achieved the Gold Standard Baby Friendly Accreditation which enables us to better support families with feeding and developing close, loving relationships with their babies.
The Children’s Centre has nearby on street parking which is often readily available (please ensure you are considerate when parking, not blocking any access points for local residents).
  • Two spacious multipurpose family friendly rooms, which are used to deliver early learning and development sessions for children and their families.
  • A sensory environment that families can access to support their child’s development.
  • Clothes swap. This is a free resource where families can donate children’s clothes and take any items they may then want.
  • Take and Make craft resources are available to purchase at reception at a very reasonable cost to support children’s learning and development to support home learning.
The whole of the site is on ground level and accessible for the vast majority of users. Wherever reasonably practicable all rooms can be set up and used flexibly in order to accommodate individual needs. There is an accessible toilet available in the corridor area.
Is the centre part of the SEND Local Offer?
