East Riding of Yorkshire Council is able to offer inspections for immigration purposes to those living in the area. These will be carried out by a specialist housing officer who will provide a report acceptable to immigration authorities for you to include in your application.
To receive a compliance report from East Riding of Yorkshire Council the dwelling inspected must meet the following criteria:
- Free from category 1 and significant category 2 hazards under the Housing Act 2004 and associated guidance, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
- Meet the decent homes standard
- Sufficient space so as not to be overcrowded and accommodate both the current occupiers and any additional people who propose to live there
- No outstanding notices under the Housing Act 2004.
